Stake Monthly Bonus Cycle: Pre, Monthly and Post Explained
Stake runs up to three monthly VIP drops on top of the weekly: pre-monthly, monthly and post-monthly. The calendar, sizing by tier, and how they stack.

Most players know about the Friday weekly. Fewer realize Stake actually runs a three-part monthly cycle on top of it: pre-monthly, monthly, and post-monthly. Three separate codes, three separate credits, all pulling from the same volume data. Miss one and you've left money on the table. Here's the full calendar, reconstructed from six months of drops.
The three monthly drops

Not every month gets all three. Looking at the 2026 archive: May had a pre-monthly and a monthly, June had a monthly and a post-monthly, April and March had just the monthly. Stake doesn't announce which variant is coming, the code simply appears in the VIP Notices channel.
Why split one bonus into three?
Retention mechanics, plainly. A single mid-month drop gives Stake one engagement spike. Three drops spread across the month give three. The pre- and post-monthly also act as compensation valves: heavy-loss players report their post-monthly credits running noticeably larger than volume alone would predict. Hosts have discretion here, especially at Platinum IV and above.
The three credits are independent. Claiming the pre-monthly doesn't shrink your monthly. They stack, same as the weekly stacks on top of all three. A Platinum player hitting every drop in a good month can see four to six separate credits.
How the monthly is sized
Same formula as the weekly, wagered volume × game weighting × tier multiplier, but computed over the full monthly cycle. Rough expectations by tier, assuming consistent Originals play:

Slot-heavy months land at the bottom of each range, weighting drags the effective volume down, exactly like the weekly. Dice and Crash grinders land at the top.
Claiming: the part people get wrong
- Codes are account-gated, not public coupons. The URL claims against your volume history. Sharing a code doesn't dilute it.
- Monthly codes live longer than weeklies, usually claimable for 2+ weeks, but they do expire. Claim on sight.
- Zero volume, zero credit. If you sat the month out, the code claims "successfully" and credits nothing.
